Hello everyone! I hope today is treating you well. The design that I am bringing to you today is my gold flake design.

This design is super easy to recreate! It's perfect for beginners who are just starting to dabble in nail art or for the professional who is looking to change up their design.
The list of materials needed to create this design are:
* Base Coat
* Top Coat
* Base color of nail polish (I used "Toast It Up!" from China Glaze)
* Gold Flakes (I purchased mine from Michaels craft store)
* Pointy Tweezers
1. Begin creating this design by laying down a layer of your base coat. I use the "Grab It" base coat by Finger Paints because I enjoy the staying power it gives to my manicures. Sadly, this base coat is discontinued so I will have to find another one as soon as mine runs out.
2. Paint one thin layer of your base color onto your nails and let it dry.
3. After that coat has dried, paint your second layer on. While this coat is still wet, use your tweezers to lay the gold flakes into the wet polish. This will nestle the flakes into the wet paint and create a smooth surface.
4. Finally, finish with a top coat to seal in your design. This will help smooth out any imperfections with the gold flakes and give your manicure a glossy finish.
***My all time favorite top coat is Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. This top coat seriously dries in thirty second and protects all of the hard work and time that I put into my design. Now that doesn't mean I go and start doing laundry or dishes. The paint still has to dry all the way through but Seche Vite helps create a barrier to help protect from dings and dents you can get by moving with wet nails.***
I hope you enjoyed this design and until next time, keep it polished!
