Mani Monday Spotlight: Toast It Up!

Happy mani Monday everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Monday and a fantastic first day of 2018. My day was spent relaxing and cleaning (oh joy.)

For today's post I would like to spotlight a nail polish that I have recently purchased. The polish is named "Toast It Up!" from China Glaze. This polished was released recently with their "The Glam Finale" collection.

At first glance at this photo, the color looks like a muted nude tone. I couldn't believe that a color like that would be in a "glam" type collection. When I think "glam" I think full on glitter, glitz, and metallic shades. I was intrigued enough that I wanted to check it out in person and I'm so glad that I did!

This polish is a beautiful nude color that has a light metallic sheen to it. The formula was pretty good for the most part. I used two thin coats since I was planning on doing a design on top. I believe that this color (if worn alone) would need three thin coats to be the most opaque and bring out the true color.

Overall, this shade is beautiful and I highly recommend picking it up if you get a chance. When I found mine it was on clearance at Sally Beauty for .49 cents so if you like it you can always try there. If you can't find it there though, here is a link to the amazon.com listing.
